Why Oscar Is Embracing The Old Hollywood

Absolutely fascinating, right-on article in the Los Angeles Times earlier this week about the significance of this year’s Old Hollywood Oscar focus. I agree with the author: 2011 was a tipping point (“abyss” may be more accurate) for empty, vapid, loud studio movies:
